During the first exhibition aboard Yankee, for the new works of Victoria & Richard Emprise, five-year-old Wittika was touring a customer round to see each piece. With perfect enunciation and measured poise, she objectively and somewhat sciolistically announced what facts she had sponged pertaining to each item on display.
When she approached the Bowquet Tray, all businesslike aplomb was abruptly abandoned. With an unequivocal plethora of passion Wittika fell upon the platter, embraced it, caressed its curves and in a dramatic trance, lifted her eyes to the heavens in obeisance and in her Parisian lilt proclaimed . . .
“This is the most beautiful of all! All the others are nothing. This is the favorite one! I love this more than anything in the world. This is the only one.”
And, then, with eyes closed, she bowed her head ineffably . . . she had expressed it all.
